Frequently Asked Questions about INCONY and ANTEROS
Concise and to the point: Here you will find answers to the most important questions about INCONY as a company, about working together on the project, and about the implementation of ANTEROS.
Is INCONY an independent company or a reseller?
INCONY AG is an independent, owner-managed software company based in Paderborn. ANTEROS is developed entirely in-house, which means that INCONY is not a reseller of a third-party platform.
Who will be my point of contact during the project?
The project will be managed by a dedicated point of contact from start to finish, right from the outset.
How long has INCONY been in existence, and how stable is the company?
INCONY was founded in 2000 and has been independently managed and financially independent ever since. In total, over 80 staff members serve more than 250 clients across a range of sectors.
How long does a typical ANTEROS implementation take?
It typically takes between 6 and 12 months, depending on the scope of the module, the complexity of the data, the capacity on both sides, and the number of connected systems.
What sets ANTEROS apart from other PIM systems such as Akeneo or Pimcore?
Akeneo is now a pure SaaS model with no on-premises option, whilst Pimcore is open source and self-hostable — but it is more broadly scoped than a pure PIM (including DAM, MDM, DXP) and involves a correspondingly higher level of technical complexity: The free Community Edition can no longer be used commercially once annual turnover exceeds €5 million, and productive operation requires knowledge of PHP and Symfony.
ANTEROS positions itself somewhere in between: it offers modular licensing like a SaaS solution, but is hosted in Germany and developed and supported by INCONY itself — including a dedicated point of contact rather than a self-service community.
